Recording Help and Support
Effective September 9, 2026
Start your first chronicle
Sign in, create or select a campaign, invite your party, and choose Record. Get everyone's permission before recording. Put your device near the table, check that the microphone works, and make a short test recording first.
Recording on a phone
Keep the recording page open and the screen awake. A locked phone, incoming call, or operating-system suspension can interrupt browser audio. For important or long sessions, use a dedicated recorder as a backup and import its file afterward.
Import audio
Choose complete, playable audio files in the audio import panel. For several parts, check their order before starting. Split audio with an audio editor by time, then export each part as its own playable file. A raw byte split can produce parts that upload successfully but cannot be decoded. The current size limit is shown in the app.
Drafting progress and recovery
Uploads, transcription, chapter drafting, and painting artwork run in stages. Duration depends on audio length, file size, connection, and provider demand. Check the library for current status. Use a resume or restart action only when the app reports a paused or failed job. Keep your original file until the completed chapter has been checked.
Improve your chapter
Use the Voices section to assign speakers to characters. Owners and DMs can edit chapter text and wiki pages. Correct names and character descriptions help your party keep a consistent campaign record. Review AI suggestions for accuracy.
Privacy, exports, and deletion
Use Account & billing for account data export and deletion. Campaign owners must explicitly delete owned campaigns before deleting their accounts. Contact support if you cannot access your account. Read the Privacy Policy for how recordings and campaign information are processed.
Contact support
Email calebjost@gmail.com. Include the chapter title, approximate time of the problem, device and browser, and the exact error message. Do not send passwords or API keys. Send only the recording excerpts needed to explain the issue, and only if every affected participant has agreed. This beta does not have a guaranteed response time.
