Who operates Taleweaver
Taleweaver is operated by Caleb Jost. Contact calebjost@gmail.com with privacy questions, access requests, or deletion requests. This policy applies to taleweaverapp.com and app.taleweaverapp.com.
Information we process
We process your sign-in identifier and email, display name, optional profile image, campaign memberships, characters, wiki entries, recordings, transcripts, notes, generated artwork, and information you submit for support. Technical request information may be processed by our hosting providers to deliver and protect the service.
How your information is used
We use this information to provide accounts, control campaign access, store and transcribe audio, draft chapters, generate requested images, answer campaign questions, and provide support. Audio and campaign content needed for these features are sent to OpenAI for processing. Our application does not use your campaigns to train its own AI model. Our providers process information under their own applicable service terms and policies.
Storage and service providers
The current service uses OpenAI Sites hosting, Cloudflare database and file storage, and OpenAI AI services. Sign-in uses Google to verify your identity. If paid subscriptions become available, Stripe will process payment information; Taleweaver will receive subscription and customer identifiers rather than your full payment-card details. Providers may process information outside your country.
Campaign visibility
Campaign content is available to authorized campaign members according to their roles. DM notes are restricted to dungeon masters. Sharing a recap or an invitation link gives its recipients the access described by that feature. Do not include secrets or sensitive personal information in public shares. Campaign content is not published to our marketing site unless its use is authorized.
Retention and deletion
Content remains stored until deleted through the application or handled through a support request. Deleting your user account does not automatically delete shared campaign content; campaign owners must explicitly delete owned campaigns first. Some operational records may remain where needed for security, disputes, or legal obligations. Backup and provider retention may delay final erasure. Contact us for the scope and status of a deletion request.
Your choices
You can edit your profile, export your data from the account page, delete your account subject to campaign ownership requirements, and contact us about access, correction, or deletion. Depending on where you live, additional privacy rights may apply. We do not sell personal information. We do not currently use advertising cookies; essential sign-in and local recording-recovery storage support the app.
Recording and age
Get permission from everyone before recording or uploading their voices. Taleweaver is intended for adults aged 18 or over. Contact us if you believe information from a child was submitted.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date appears on this page. Material changes affecting your use will be communicated through the service or an appropriate account notice.
